Timothy Booth CEO
Crowdfunding expert and consultant with several years in the field. I have been on the Canadian music scene for over 30 years, performing with a wide-array of groups in the Montreal and Toronto areas. I have played with the following orchestras including Orchestra London, Hamilton Symphony Orchestra, Montréal Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Orchestra, l’Opéra de Montréal, the National Ballet Orchestra, and the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra; and with such artists as Aretha Franklin, Pavarotti, Yes, John Pizzarelli, George Burns, Chris De Burgh to name just a few. I have also played such musicals as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Showboat, Ragtime, Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast. In 2006 I created the Toronto Art Orchestra a jazz orchestra devoted to playing the greatest jazz master’s works.
About Our Team
Artsfunding.ca is passionate about the importance of the Arts and their value to the economy and society. Our core values are the Arts are important to the World and the general public should be able to support and participate in the creative process. The Arts and Culture contributed 46 billion dollars to the Canadian economy in 2011 alone we are confident that those figures are much higher now. Considering the growth of the Crowdfunding community world-wide we feel the Arts worldwide deserve to be part of that.
“Being an artist and musician, and leader of several musical groups, I know how important it is to be able to raise funds to realize any artistic venture,” says Timothy Booth CEO and owner of ArtsFunding.ca, and leader of the Toronto Art Orchestra. “I’ve also heard time and time again how it is getting harder to get sponsorship or government grants. We created ArtsFunding.ca, in Toronto, to help artists in with this very problem. ArtsFunding.ca is a crowdfunding platform that’s cheaper for users, and unlike some of the main crowdfunding platforms, is solely dedicated to the arts–in all disciplines. I know personally the kind of work it takes to run a successful crowdfunding campaign, therefore, we provide a much larger set of tools, than most, to create success. Join us in our passion to promote the Arts in and it’s value to society and the economy while also creating a community who shares and participates in the creative process.”
