ArtsFunding.ca — the new crowdfunding platform for the Arts in Canada

ArtsFunding.ca is a crowdfunding platform for the Arts that creates community and harnesses the power of social reach!

Toronto, Ontario With ArtsFunding.ca, artists and arts organizations now have a more focussed and effective way to raise funds for their events and projects. ArtsFunding.ca is the new crowdfunding platform and goes beyond other crowdfunding platforms with its extended social reach and an array of tools to help artists and arts organizations develop their crowds.

“Being an artist and musician, and leader of several musical groups, I know how important it is to be able to raise funds to realize any artistic venture,” says Timothy Booth CEO and owner of ArtsFunding.ca, and leader of the Toronto Art Orchestra. “I’ve also heard time and time again how it is getting harder to get sponsorship or government grants. We created ArtsFunding.ca, in Toronto, to help artists in Canada with this very problem. ArtsFunding.ca is a crowdfunding platform that’s cheaper for users, and unlike some of the main crowdfunding platforms, is solely dedicated to the arts–in all disciplines. I know personally the kind of work it takes to run a successful crowdfunding campaign, therefore, we provide a much larger set of tools, than most, to create success. Join us in our passion to promote the Arts in Canada and it’s value to society and the economy while also creating a community who shares and participates in the creative process.”

For artists, having funding all or part of a project or event, can make all the difference in realizing its success. As well, arts organizations are now looking at crowdfunding to help cover the costs of production and promotion for large events like galleries, screenings, concerts, as well as using crowdfunding and social media to attract new donors and audiences and to better track fundraising efforts.

Artists and arts organizations can go to ArtsFunding.ca and start their campaign with three easy steps, and can personally consult with ArtsFunding.ca to launch a successful campaign.

George Rondina, Managing Director and Owner of Number 9 Audio Group in Toronto, is currently at the early stages of his crowdfunding campaign on ArtsFunding.ca. The campaign is to raise funds to produce the CD, Christmas on Seaton Street Vol. 2, a collaboration by many Toronto Jazz and Pop artists. The proceeds from this CD will go to The SickKids® Foundation – SickKidsFoundation.com.‎ George, who has worked with such artists as Amanda Marshall, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Jeff Healey, The Bare Naked Ladies, and Rush and is known for his work in producing CDs benefitting charitable organizations such as the Red Cross and Children’s Wish Foundation sees ArtsFunding.ca as a great way to get funding and draw attention to this commendable project through social media.
